R & D is one of the keys of our success and receives particular attention. A large team of experienced engineers continuously works on solutions to meet the bookbinders’ requirements.
The latest 3-D software allows efficient design of machine parts. New solutions are simulated and later tested under real conditions before they are approved for serial production; furthermore software is strictly developed in-house and customized to customer’s requirements.
All our parts are produced in-house by fully automated CNC centers, laser cutters, and 5-axis systems. Special made grinding units manufacture all our camshafts to a tolerance of thousandths of millimeters. Meticulous attention is paid to the parts directly involved in the sewing assemblies and to the choice of materials, many of which are subject to special treatment.
Functional units are preassembled with utmost care and tested individually; furthermore the components are accurately selected and checked before being fitted on the machine. Electrical systems are also assembled in-house in order to ensure total quality control.
Before delivery, all units and lines are tested by the most experienced technicians following strict procedures. The final trial is always performed with paper, at maximum speed and under the very same conditions as in the bindery.
