It has been shattered any speed limits with asterTOP: watch the report video at http://youtu.be/NDR4pM7nmoI .
Meccanotecnica has reported strong sales for its entry-level and mid-range automatic book sewing machines asterEL and asterEVO, putting this down to increased automation in emerging print markets.
Africa and South America have been important markets for Meccanotecnica this drupa, with most of the sales in the company’s mid-range or entry level sewing machines for offset operations, made here.
The asterEVO and aster EL are perfect for printers that have previously been sewing books by hand or with manual machines as they are a low-cost option and easy to use.
The higher-speed, full option versions of the aster series, PRO and TOP (the last one running at 300 rpm, the world’s highest speed), have also been sold at drupa, all to printers in Germany, Poland and in the Middle East, along with the Universe Sewing and Universe Inline within the Universe Digitaline program for digital print finishing.
The significant number of sales at drupa had made the investment in exhibiting here, and Meccanotecnica’s strategy of exhibiting only new launches, worthwhile.
Meccanotecnica wanted to show to the market that they are at the forefront of sewing machine technology, by showcasing its strong emphasis on research and development.
